Kiara Jones
President & Grants
Kiara joined the Toy Library in 2019 as a Non-Member Volunteer and has since become our President. With a strong passion for learning through play, early childhood education, and fostering stronger communities, she dedicates her time to managing the Toy Library while also serving as the Midwest and Gascoyne Development Officer for Playgroup WA. In addition to balancing her professional roles, Kiara navigates life with a DIDO husband and raises her 5-year-old daughter, Zoey. Always busy securing funds to enhance our catalogue and facilities, Kiara’s commitment to the Toy Library is unwavering. Her favorite toys include Connectix and the new Fat Brain Air Toobs, while Zoey enjoys board games and the Hape Adventure Van. Kiara is excited about continuing to create opportunities for our play community to learn, grow, and thrive together.
Amber Kenwright
Secretary
Amber joined the Committee early 2022, and is our Library’s secretary; moving from the Membership Team the past 2 years. She works in Aged Care alongside her volunteering and is a busy mum of two to Lincoln (5) and Maisie (3). Amber and her little ones like to try out all the outdoor toys such as the Sand Mining set and Foam Play kits but is also particularly fond of the Fat Brain Toy sets. Amber joined the Committee as she likes supporting the community through volunteering, meeting new faces and making friends along the way. She loves that the Toy Library has helped her find a sense of belonging in the community.

Tara Moody
Membership Team
Tara joined the toy library in 2023. She is a seasoned early childhood teacher. Tara has lived in the Geraldton area most of her life. She is mum to William (2) and Wesley (1). In her spare time, Tara loves reading and going to Bunnings with her family. She is really passionate about the toy library because it gives kids access to developmentally appropriate toys that are often out of a family’s budget or storage capacity.
Georgia McDonald
Promotions
Georgia joined the Toy Library in early 2023 after moving to Geraldton from Meekatharra. She is all about Promotions and the social media presence of GTL. Georgia is an Early Childhood teacher and mum to an energetic Callum (4.5 years) and sassy Freya (2.5 years). In her spare time Georgia loves to cook, spend time at the beach, organise the playroom and rotate the toys or be outside with her family! She likes to follow the kids leads with their interests which for Callum is always construction and destruction; he and his dad are big fans of the Kick Bricks [H332]! Freya has just taken an interest in puzzles so she loves to choose from this very organised selection at the Toy Library.
Monique Kalinowski
Toy Librarian & Maintenance
Monique has recently joined our Toy Library committee. She has joined the Maintenance Team and hopes to assist in keeping our resources in good repair.
After working many years in a busy management role she is currently enjoying the slower pace of motherhood to a beautiful little 20 month old girl, Amara.
A love of the outdoors will often find her family out on the ocean or camping by the fire.
As an early childcare educator it's hard to choose a favourite toy, but she tend to follow Amara’s lead with Montessori values from week to week, this week's beings rocks.
Monique is feeling very grateful to become a part of a community spirited club.

Toy Maintenance
Renee became part of the Geraldton Toy Library community in 2022. Her regular volunteer membership soon grew into a Shift Leader role and in 2024, her passion for organisation lead her to join the volunteer Maintenance Team. Renee & her son (5) have been borrowing for nearly 3 years and Renee has said she still find toys they haven’t seen before! Her family favourit’s are the games, marble-runs & outdoor gross motor toys. Renee looks forward to continuing her volunteer duties and exploring the ever-growing learning resources available.
